The Weight Of Life by Whitney Barbetti is Live!! Reviews by Sam & Dusty!

“Don’t let go.” Those were my first words to him, as I hung over the side of a London bridge. The words I would soon say again, in a moment that didn’t involve bridges, but something much more fragile: my heart.

He held onto me for three weeks, in a time when I needed to be held. Needed to connect to someone who understood how loss tunneled unrepentantly through the fabric of your soul.

Although he said he'd stay, we both knew he wouldn't. I had already survived one loss—I didn't know if I'd survive another.

She spun into my life like a tornado of smiles and chatter and everything else I'd long avoided, with a persistence that I admired, albeit begrudgingly. She broke down each neat wall I’d constructed without even trying. Her presence alone caused me to remember what it felt like to smile, to look forward to what the day would bring.

But it was only supposed to last three weeks.

“Don’t let go,” she’d pleaded.

I’d promised her I wouldn’t—but I would. I didn't have a choice.
I like nachos and champagne and clean sheets. I spend far too much time at Starbucks. I wrote a couple books

Review by Samantha:

Whitney Barbetti always writes a book that draws you into a reality that will own your heart forever more.  She writes words that make you swoon, aches and love.  The Weight of Life is one of the best reads of 2017 in my opinion.

Mila is such a strong, adventurous and well written character.  She is fiercely independent and has such a big heart even after such a devastating loss.   Ames is dependable and responsible and so easy to love.  Together the 2 have a complex love that pulled my heart strings and gives me hope.  Though they seem to be opposites, they do complement each other very well.

The feels were real with this book.  Book hangovers are a real thing!  Seriously, this book is all the stars and the moon.  Get your copy today.  5 glorious stars from Reviews by Reds!

I received and ARC of TWOL in exchange for an honest opinion.

Review by Dusty:

Ruined.... This book completely and utterly ruined me in the most beautiful way possible. The passion in the words are undeniable. Flawlessly written, it gives a slow burn a whole new meaning.

Mila is so unbelievably strong and independent. She is suffering the loss of her boyfriend yet she is determined to be happy and to live each day to the fullest! She is definitely one tough cookie!
Her brother Jude owns a travel blog and Mila is in London trying to find the hidden gems to post on the blog for travelers. What she isn't looking for is Ames, but sometimes fate will literally knock you off your feet, or a bridge. Lol.

Ames is such an amazing character. He seems all brooding and hateful until you learn his story and find that he is actually so charming and very romantic. He will definitely make you swoon.

The love that you feel in this book is palpable. It almost feels like a living breathing thing. I actually smiled almost through the whole book. Yes, it makes you feel that good! The words will seep into your soul and leave you breathless.
5 Stars is not enough for this book.
